To convert an Airtel SIM to an eSIM, you can:

Ensure your phone supports eSIM
Text “eSIM” to 121
Wait for a confirmation SMS from 121
Reply with “1” to confirm the request
Wait for a final SMS with a QR code
Scan the QR code
Wait about two hours for the eSIM to activate

You can also use the Airtel Thanks app to convert your SIM to an eSIM:

Download the Airtel Thanks app
Log in with the phone number you want to upgrade
Go to the Home page and scroll down to Shortcuts
Click the Upgrade to eSIM icon
Initiate the eSIM request
Download the eSIM profile on your device
Enable the eSIM profile to connect to the Airtel network

Some devices that are compatible with Airtel eSIM include: Apple iPhone, Google Pixel smartphones, Samsung, Motorola, and Vivo devices.
