To convert a Jio SIM to an eSIM online, you can:

Open the MyJio app
Search for “eSIM” and tap Switch to eSIM
Enter the EID number of the device and confirm your email address
Enter the OTP sent to your Jio number and confirm via the IVR

You can also request an eSIM by sending an SMS to 199 from your Jio number:

Type GETESIM<32-digit EID><15-digit IMEI>
Send the SMS to 199
To confirm, type “1” and send it to 199

You will receive the eSIM profile via SMS and a QR code via email.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

Most modern smartphones, including Apple, Samsung, and Google, support eSIM technology.
If you are outside India, you need to send the SMS to +917018899999 instead of 199.
You will need to install a data plan on your iOS device to complete the activation process.
Removing the data plan will permanently delete the eSIM profile from your device.
